I'm a 24 year old Web Developer turned SEO Analyst (though I still do quite a bit of web development anyway). I'm living in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia . I spend my days at work, and my nights working on personal projects and writing. As far as Web Development goes, I specialize in ASP.NET, and am something of a web standards vigilante. Nothing is quite as satisfying as seeing my HTML Validation toolbar flash that green checkmark after I've worked on a page. On the SEO side of the fence, I enjoy using my development experience to bring a different perspective into my job, and have created several tools that assist myself and my coworkers in our analysis of sites.

In a feat of incredible cunning, Colin Cochrane stole the Google Algorithm from Matt Cutts, the popular Googler who recently was promoted to moral compass at the search giant. The following pictures show the daring feat as it happened at the SEOmoz party following SMX Advanced in Seattle this week.

Since the IE development team releasing the first beta version of Internet Explorer 8 for developers last week, I've had the chance to play around with this latest incarnation of the Internet Explorer family. While most of the focus has been on the improved support for web standards, which is immediately evident even in this early beta, there are many more new features and enhancements that are making IE8 look like its shaping up into a solid browser.
